Caine Lyric Theatre: Creepy and Delicious Part 1

Okay, I might be pushing this a bit since it's more on the creepy Halloween side rather than the Happy Holiday side of things.  However, it's really just too good not to post.

Back in October University Catering had the privilege of catering a reception for a fund raiser at the Caine Lyric Theatre in downtown Logan.  Catering brought what they could to the table, but the venue itself was just marvelous.  Right in the spirit of Halloween and all things creepy.  And because it was just too fun not to share, this first part will be all about the venue and the sculptures around the theatre provided by USU's own art students.

Isn't it just creepy already!

Here's a close up of the head.  This could really give me nightmares if I let it!

Some of the art sculptures done by USU's student art department.

Love the creepy detail.

Donations are always welcome.  Not just on Halloween.

Who can say no to this face?

Or this one for that matter.

I truly love the ambiance that was created.

More delightful demon sculpture.

Let's not forget the sharp pointy teeth.  (you know, good for nibbling)

I still think this one was laughing at me.
Stay tuned for the next installation in which the reception fare is highlighted.  Such things as Sugar Shrimp Skewers in Blood Orange Reduction, Home made root beer, and Pumpkin Tarts to name just a few.
